Made it there and back again. London is always bustling and slightly overwhelming. Still cannot discern my east from west and naturally get on the wrong train heading into Kensington.
Sadly, Henry Swindell's workshop was cancelled but I had my fill from the other seminars with the bf whom I later lost on the Tube as well. Bill Smith, Director of Brighton's Latest Media was deliciously fresh, and, some may argue, awkwardly racist. Elliott Grove's trailer was disappointing although I did relearn the importance of marketing oneself on their social media (old news!) and to never use the word "drama" to describe a screenplay as it is not original (like the plot line for Deadly Virtues!) And don't point your finger on set! Ever! Unless it is staged. Then it is acceptable to point.
The rest of the expo was of little interest to me as I can barely hold a camera and shoot properly let alone understand the basics about sound and lighting equipment. Worth the free entry? Oh, yes. Upscale venue, but too many men in suits. Somehow this update metamorphosed itself into a half assed review. There you are. One day of BVE14 summed up.
