Chel-C (Chelsea Sweeney) considers herself a bit of a nomad British Columbian expat. A graduate of UBC's Classical Archaeology program (2013), Chel-C also holds a minor in English Literature and followed her wonderlust to the UK to play archaeologist for two years (2013-2015) before moving briefly to Hong Kong to teach English in the fall of 2015. Now unexpectedly back in Canada, Chel-C is devoting her time to writing fiction and screenplays while still pretending that she knows something about archaeology. For as long as she can remember, Chelsea has irregularly had her writing published while being author of several articles, poetry and short stories. Her first ever article was published in Archie Comics at the overly eager age of 11 years old. From 2011-2015 she co-created , co-edited, and co-designed two literary magazines YourVerbatim (2011-2013) and Impromptu Magazine (2015) both of which have been put on hiatus pending life/work balance. In 2014 she was a finalist for the Wicked Young Writer's Award for her short story Wasps. Chel-C is passionate about travelling (having visited over 30 countries), photography, eating, and politics involving feminism, fracking, pipelines and other sundry global economic affairs. Her next set of goals, besides publishing her novel and screenplay, is to complete a higher degree in archaeology, buy some land to build a really cool eco treehouse. And go back to Europe for more archaeology projects and complete the Walk of Peace through the Julien Alps down to the Adriatic. And a road trip through Ireland.
